Dream work is a central component to Jungian analysis and an integral part of the way I work with people. Dreams are doorways that lead to deeper layers of the unconscious. Remembering and recording dreams, drawing, painting, collaging or sculpting the images within them breathes life into their messages. One learns to engage and listen to the discarded bits of long forgotten memories and yearnings that can surface through the dream. Given space and value, they revitalize the dreamer by enabling deeper insights and increased understanding of the unconscious influences in our lives.
Time spent as an actor in the theater also gives me a unique perspective on the unfolding drama played out in an individual’s life story, both inner and outer. By using simple exercises; empty chair and role playing, we are able to amplify conversations with figures in our dreams or real life. I have also found personal enrichment applying what I’ve learned working with the horse, who has taught me the language and healing ways of the animals.
